Surfaces for the rooms people actually use
Every slab is templated on site, cut on our own equipment at 105 Research Drive, and installed by the same crew that took the measurements.

Bathroom vanities
Single and double vanities with integrated or undermount basins, cut to suit the cabinet rather than the other way around.

Bar and serving counters
Mitred edges, waterfall returns and overhangs supported properly, so the stone holds up to people leaning on it.

Fireplace and feature walls
Hearths, surrounds and floor-to-ceiling cladding in porcelain and marble, mitred at the corners so the veining runs continuously.

QuartzEngineered stone
Roughly ninety per cent ground quartz bound in resin. It is non-porous, so it never needs sealing, and the pattern repeats predictably from slab to slab, which matters when a kitchen takes more than one. Our stock comes through KASA Stone and carries SGS test reports.

GraniteQuarried stone
Cut from the ground, so no two slabs match and you choose the one you want off the rack. Granite resists scratching better than almost anything else you can put in a kitchen and takes a hot pan straight off the element without flinching.

MarbleQuarried stone
The material people picture when they say luxury. It is softer and more porous than granite, so lemon juice and wine leave a mark where they sit, and plenty of owners come to like that record of use. We will tell you plainly whether it suits the way you cook.

PorcelainSintered surface
Large-format sheets fired at high temperature. Thin enough to clad a wall and hard enough to work as a counter. It holds its colour under direct sun, which is worth knowing if your island sits under a south-facing window.

Quote
Send dimensions, a cabinet drawing, or a photo with a tape measure laid across the run. You get a written price broken out by material and edge profile.

Slab selection
Come to 105 Research Drive and look at full slabs in daylight. A two-inch sample chip tells you the colour but nothing about how the veining moves.

Template
Once cabinets are installed and level, we digitally template the room. Your sink, cooktop and faucet need to be on site that day so the cutouts are exact.

Fabrication
Cutting, mitring, edge polishing and cutouts happen on our own equipment, which means we are not waiting in line behind another shop's schedule.

Installation
The crew that templated brings the stone in, sets it, joins the seams and finishes the perimeter. Most kitchens are set, seamed and finished in a single visit.

How much do quartz countertops cost in Halifax?
Our quartz starts at $55 per square foot. Where a project lands above that depends on the colour you choose, the edge profile, how many cutouts the layout needs and whether a backsplash is included.
Send a rough drawing with measurements and we will price it properly rather than guessing.
How long does a countertop project take?
Templating happens once the cabinets are installed and level. Fabrication follows in our Dartmouth shop, and installation is usually a single visit.
Overall timing depends on your material being in stock, so ask about lead time when you choose your slab.
Do you install outside Halifax and Dartmouth?
Yes. We work throughout Halifax Regional Municipality, including Bedford, Sackville, Cole Harbour and Timberlea, and we travel across Nova Scotia for residential kitchens. Commercial projects run throughout Atlantic Canada.
Does quartz need to be sealed?
No. Quartz is non-porous, so sealing does nothing for it. Granite and marble are quarried stone and do need periodic sealing, which we walk you through at handover along with what to keep off the surface.
Can you quote from my kitchen drawings?
Yes. Drawings, photos or a hand sketch with measurements are all enough for a quote. The final template still has to be taken on site once the cabinets are set, because walls and floors are rarely square and the stone has to follow them.
Do you supply sinks and faucets?
Yes. We stock undermount sinks and faucets, which means the cutout is machined for the exact bowl going into your counter rather than a nominal size.
